REVIEW

Review:
Love Lost - Maria DeSouza

WARNING:
This book has a cliffhanger ending, if you don't like cliffhangers then this book is not for you!!!

This is the first book in the Love Lost Series and the authors debut novel.

This isn't your typical lovey dovey romance novel - boy meets girl/girl meets boy, they fall in live and live happily ever after.  This suspense romance is so far removed from that scenario but its a great read nonetheless. I found it so difficult to put down, so I didn't :D thankfully my kids were at school and the housework was done!!

Jason is a newly promoted New York detective working on a major case to bring a major crime lord down.  He keeps his life simple - work, family, friends. Until he meets Selene.

Selene is a lawyer and a woman on a mission.  Her mission: to bring down the monster who has been terrorizing her for years.

Jason and Selene bump into each other in a coffee shop and I mean that literally. Hot coffee accidents don't hurt if you're a bulletproof vests!!!!!

Its the start of something special for them both, fast, instant, unexpected.... but the question is can love conquer everything or is there a limit???

Jason is everything a romantic hero should be - he's sweet, caring and sexy as hell with his tattoo's and ladies he can cook!!!

Selene is complex, cold and aloof at times but when you finally know the story behind why, you realize that she has every right to be the way she is.  She could've allowed her life to continue the way it has been, but she choose a different path.

This book is filled with twists and turns and plot lines that you never expected. They just leave you guessing.

I'm looking forward to the second book to see if Jason and Sel get their happily ever after!!!

Four well deserved stars!!!!
