The book grabs you from the first sentence and holds you in its mighty grip till the very last one, twisting and turning you from side to side, through a gambit of emotions.
A word of warning, keep a box of tissues handy, you'll certainly need them at some stage!!
The book revolves around Roxy, a strong and independent young woman who isnt afraid to go after what she wants. She hasnt exactly had it easy when it comes to the opposite sex. To be honest she's has the worst luck in the world when it comes to men. They've left her emotionally fragile and lacking confidence at times.Just when she thought she had them worked out she meets Kade.
Kade is a construction worker by day and a surfer every other minute. He's kind, considerate, sexy as hell and one of those guys that every girl dreams of having in her life. He's almost the perfect guy. Note I said almost - he has his moments when he's a pompous ass and all you want to do is knock some sense into him!! But overall he does love Roxy, she's his everything from the beginning, even after a short time. The fact that she's his first lover just makes their connection even more unbreakable.
He makes her question everything she's known about life and men. With high protective walls surrounding her heart, will Kade be the one to tear them down? Will he prove her wrong about men or right??
There is something special about Roxy and Kade's relationship, I can compare it to a closed rose bud, slowly opening with the sunshine's warmth, till its in full bloom, its beauty shinning.
It makes you believe in happily ever afters and knights in shinning Armour sent to rescue the fair maiden, in this case emotional rescuing.
Yes they have their ups and downs in their blooming relationship, but they take each step together, working through each obstacle together, whether its big or small, but will they be able to overcome the biggest obstacle or stumble and fall?? Will Kade and Roxy go the distance??? Will their love for one another survive?
Breaking my Heart is one of those books that will make you feel. It will make you laugh, cry, cringe, angry, want to give a certain someone a piece of their mind, want to kick a few butts and some more crying. Its a good old fashion love story, with heaps of steamy scenes that will leave you fanning yourself, that makes you believe that anything is possible with the right person beside you.
I cant wait for book to, to see what life has instore for Kade and Roxy!!
