This is the second novel in the spicy contemporary romance series by Savannah Young.
The series is centered around four sexy brothers, their small-town bar and their local band.
Each novel in the OLD TOWN COUNTRY ROMANCE series can be read as a STAND ALONE novel or as part of the series.

This second book features Trucker Wilde.
Trucker joined the US Army right out of high school and was injured in Iraq.
The war did more than shatter his leg. It also crushed his spirit and damaged his soul.
He walks with a limp and he's convinced that is all that anyone sees when they look at him.

When a strange couople arrives at his family's bar, Haymakers, Tucker can see signs of mental and emotional abuse and is immediately drawn to the lovely but fragile girl seated at his bar.  And he's also confused as to why she's with a man who treats her way the biker does.

Nineteen year old Gracie Parker has been a victim of physical and mental abuse for as long as she can remember.  She doesnt know anything else which is why she's stayed with her boyfriend, Dex for so long.
He doesnt let her drive or work or eat much for that matter.  His theory " I dont do fat chicks" (what a gem of a man, NOT!!!)

When Dex beats her in the parking lot of Haymakers and abandons her its almost too much for her to bear.  That is until Trucker appears like a knight from the darkness to save her.

Gracie feels that she's so broken that she doesnt deserve the attention of someone like Trucker.
Trucker on the other hand feels that he's so broken that he can't offer anything to a woman.
These two are drawn to each other like a moth to a flame and in a way they're the key to each other's healing.
But their relationship and even their lives are threatened by Dex who will stop at nothing to get Gracie back.

I loved, loved this book!!
The writing was yet again smooth and flowing.
I could relate to the characters on so many levels and feel their pain and unhappiness and Im just glad that they got their HEA.

Cant wait for Hunter and Jake's Story's.

***** out of 5 stars for an awesome read
