In the past few months I've read many MC books, they've almost become like my one little indulgence when I one click on Amazon.
(Sons of Anarchy and Jax Teller have a lot to answer for is all I can say!!!!)
This book is listed high in my growing list of awesome MC books, ones that I highly recommend to others who like these sorts of books. Its well written, the story line flows, all events are plausible and the characters are real and easy to relate to.
The story revolves around Eve and her trip Down Under to stand at her best friends side as maid of honour. Her life in the UK is difficult and sheltered and her world revolves around her daughter.
Life as she knows it changes because she took one wrong turn and ended up witnessing the murder of a man by a rival MC, which puts her life in danger.
She's rescued by the Severed Angels MC, her best friend is marrying the President, and Eve quickly finds herself falling for the Vice President Gabe aka "Angel" which she sees as a welcome diversion to the horror that is to unfold.
Eve quickly learns that the Carnal MC, who are savage and dangerous will stop at nothing to get Eve and revenge.
The book is full of drama, secrets, past traumas and a few gasp shock moments not to mention HOT and STEAMY love scenes that will leave you fanning yourself!!! (or in my case leaving my cheeks red as for a few minutes after lol)
Eve is an amazing contradiction of strong and vulnerable. She's tough in moments when its needed most, but totally scared when anyone else would be to.
Her reason for living is her daughter and she hates being away from her. There are moments in the book when you feel for her and you just want to give her hug and tell her things will be okay soon. But despite the hard moments she face, she soldiers on regardless.
Gabe aka angel is sexy as, with mesmerizing eyes. He's possessive and domineering and clearly gets what he wants when he wants it. Especially woman and he has his sights firmly set on Eve.
But he's a closed book when it comes to emotions!
Past traumas will do that to you especially when someone you love is ripped from you by someone close to you.
He thinks that protecting Eve will somehow erase some of past where he thought he failed and he will stop at nothing to see that history doesn't repeat itself. He's the type of guy you could see yourself falling for so easy.
But sometimes life isn't fair!!!
The ending will leave you with an open mouth and wishing that you had the next book in your hands to see how everything turns out for Eve and Gabe. I know i'll definitely be getting my hands on it the moment its out, which is hopefully soon.
