A Perfect Moment is Becca Lee's debut novel and what a debut it is!!! If I didn't know that for a fact, I would've mistaken it for the work of a seasoned author. She's blown it out of the water and then some!!!!

The cover is what initially drew me to the book, even before I read the blurb!!! What can I say, I have a thing for covers :D!!! The blurb got me hooked and I knew then and there that I had to know how this story was going to play out and I wasn't disappointed. 

The story line is  original - how many books have you read where the heroine is actually older then her man??  It covers all the bases that a great contemporary romance should - suspense, humour, a few twists along the way, steamy hot sex scenes!! Lets not forget a super sexy firefighter and a feisty redhead!

The story centers around

Ella who fast forward five years hasn't quite recovered from finding out her fiance was cheating on her on their wedding day.  

(All i can say is thank god for BBF's with a mean right swing and rescuing you with champagne!!!)

and

Preston, Jo's baby brother (something that Ella refers to him as quite often, which I found absolutely hilirious!) who's been in love with Ella since he was fifteen.  A fact that his family are all aware of.  He's a firefighter and surfer whenever he's free.

He wants nothing more then to take the friendship he has with Ella to the next level, prove to her that he's nothing like her ex-fiance and can give her a happy ever after.

 

Just when things are starting to look up for Preston and Ella, there's a twist in the road.  Can their fledgling relationship take the hits and make it back onto the smooth road to happily ever after? or will they lose everything including their friendship?? Well.... you'll have to read the book to find out!!

I loved how all the characters meshed together wonderfully and they all had their role to play. 

The constant ribbing and joking between Ella and Preston was hilarious, which just showed how deep the connection between them was.

And the chemistry was off the charts!!! Made me hot all over :D

 

And the fact that he knew everything about her, the good and the bad and he still wanted to be with her regardless!!

I just want to say that I'd like a BBF like Jo, she absolutely rocks and definitely one of my favorite supporting characters!!

This book covers so many emotions - it will have you laughing. You'll shed a few tears. You'll feel regret and a bit of anger. But above all else this book will give you HOPE.  Hope that there is a happy ever after for those that have been hurt. Hope that yes trusting fully after being hurt so badly by someone you love is difficult but taking a chance and plunging in feet first takes courage. It's worth it to find a person that will care and love you unconditionally!!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Spending the last few years near the Queensland coast, Becca is rarely out of the sea or off the beach.

Dragging her long board with her and her overworked Kindle Fire, Becca enjoys her three addictions:reading, surfing and ogling surfers, one of whom is her husband of ten years.

She can still be found regularly on the beach with her family. Becca tends to leave the surfing to her boys; she's far too busy immersed in her own writing or, of course, with her head still buried in a new read.

1. I have twin toes on both feet—the two next to my big toe. They’re pretty freakin’ awesome. I terrorize my hubby with them.

2. After 10+ years of trying to write a completely different book, I wrote from start to finish A Perfect Moment in less than four months – go figure!

3. One of the scenes in APM—okay, maybe several—really happened. This one involved a

special oil!

4. I’ve read the Twilight Saga approximately six times.

5. My feet grew—literally went up a whole size—after I had my boy.

6. I love watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer reruns.

7. I met my now husband when I was just 16.

8. I have a habit of mispronouncing words. I still pronounced quay wrong when I was 19.

9. I have the weakest bladder known to mankind. I regularly have to cross my legs unlocking

the front door.

10. I have a habit at laughing when it’s inappropriate to do so. It may have included my hubby’s grandfather’s funeral. Whoops!

11. Preston was inspired by my sexy hubby.

12. I tend not to plan too much when I’m writing. I allow my characters to lead me.
