SYNOPSIS:

Every event
in our life causes a ripple effect that we never truly understand until the
waters calm and everything reveals itself. It’s in that moment we truly see…

Adam Ryker,
owner of Club Envy, has his rules. Relationships stay within the walls of the
club. Outside of that, people are merely acquaintances. After having his heart
broken, he’s not interested in the happily ever afters and white picket fences.
Adam’s interests lie in his club and giving pleasure to women.

Ainsley
Pearson wants to be free. She needs an escape from her life. Her best friend
suggests Club Envy. From the moment Ainsley sets foot in the club, Adam decides
he wants to be the exclusive one to bring her pleasure.

He wants her.

He needs her.

He has to have her.

Adam finds
himself wanting more.

Will this
unforeseen ripple in Adam’s and Ainsley’s lives be too much to overcome? Or
will the one thing they never thought they deserved have an everlasting effect?

EXCERPT:
“Adam…”

Ainsley’s voice invaded my thoughts, but she wasn’t due here for a bit.

“Adam?”

The bed dipped, and I felt a small hand on my arm. It was Ainsley’s touch.

Hell, this is going to be the best dream I’ve had in ages.

“I’ll come back tomorrow. Sleep tight, Adam.”

Lips brushed my forehead and then the bed rose again. I heard footsteps.

Shit, she’s really here. I pushed off the bed and called out hoarsely, “Ainsley, wait.”
She stopped and turned. “It’s okay, Adam. I can come back later.
You’re exhausted. You need your rest.”

I kept blinking the haze away. She was in white capris that hugged her slim figure, a tight blue T-shirt, and that damn pink wig.

Hot. As. Hell.

She played with the ring on her right finger. I was pretty sure that meant she was unsure of something.

Shit, I don’t want her to be unsure about staying with me.

I did the first thing that came to mind. I walked straight up to her and started kissing her. The small gasp right before my lips touched hers, told me she hadn’t expected me to come after her like this. Her body needed to take over her brain that was probably telling her that I didn’t care if she were here or not. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Her being here with me was all that I had thought about through the day.

Ainsley opened her mouth in shock, and I took advantage by pushing my tongue inside. By her rigid posture, I could tell she was still thinking with her brain. It was obvious when she let the moment take over. She became clay in my hands as her body took control. I needed her in that place, so she wouldn’t try to leave right now.

I need this. I want her.

EXCERPT:
His brown eyes were warm, and his dark hair was short but done in a messy way. I had never been with a bad boy. Normally, I always went for the safe guy. However, my last safe guy had turned out to be a power-seeking asshole.

From the moment I had seen Adam at the bar, a primal instinct in me had called out, I want to have sex with him.

Adam stood. He was in a tight-fitting blue T-shirt and jeans.
The moment I’d said yes, something had changed in his eyes. The atmosphere had charged with a sexual energy. My insides wanted to combust, but I remained calm and collected on the outside. He walked over to me like a predator after his prey, and I stood firm. He wasn’t going to feel like he had the upper hand on me. He stopped within inches of me. I slowly looked up and cocked one eyebrow.

“You have no idea how much we are going to enjoy each other, Ainsley. I’m going to make you feel pleasure beyond your wildest dreams. I’m going to touch your body like it deserves.” As he spoke, his breath invaded my senses.

I took a shallow breath, hoping he didn’t see how his words affected me. “I’ve never done anything like this. I don’t know what the next step is.”

“Let your body be your guide.”

EXCERPT
Ainsley tilted her head to the side. “I’ve never done a body shot before. Should we try it?”

I gave Ainsley my answer as I ordered, “Two shots of tequila, limes, and salt, Nora.”

Nora responded with a teasing tone, “You’re good, Ainsley. Coming right up, boss man.”

Ainsley giggled as I looked around to make sure we didn’t have any direct onlookers. We were in the dark part of the bar area. I spun Ainsley around to the side facing the wall as Nora set down the salt, limes, and two shots of tequila. Ainsley took the shot, downed it, and then sucked on the lime. She scrunched up her nose as the alcohol burned her throat. I couldn’t help but laugh.

“You forgot the salt, baby.”

She started coughing a little bit. “Ugh, that is harsh. Oh, gosh.”

Nora came up and handed her a napkin. “I have done a disservice to you, my friend. You need shot practice. It gets better with time.”

Ainsley took the napkin. “The problem is enduring the time it takes to get used to it. Oh, I forgot how gross tequila is.”

“Oh, give your man his body shot, so you can get to those orgasms he promised you. Be prepared for shot lessons soon.” I gave Nora a look to give me privacy. She winked at me and turned her back and went to tend to another customer on the other end of the bar.

Ainsley and I were semi-alone now.

“Are you ready, baby?”

In response, Ainsley dipped two of her fingers into the tequila. Delicately, she ran it from the middle of her cleavage to the jawline of her neck. Her nipples pebbled underneath what had to be a thin bra. She had on a low-cut tight shirt and a short skirt that flowed out.

Damn.

Her mouth was slightly ajar as she grabbed the salt and covered the path of the tequila with it. I placed my hand on the inside of her leg, and I was tracing small circles as I made my way up higher on her inner thigh. She raised her eyebrow, challenging me to check. Oh, baby, I’ll be happy to oblige. I looked around again, and everyone else was otherwise engaged with their fuck choice for the night. I noticed Tyler was with Jasmine again.

Ainsley looked me in the eyes. “I hope you’re ready to take me to the Afterburn room after this. I’m in need of some serious attention.”

My hand went up her skirt and I felt that she was bare like she had said. “I think you need a little attention right now, while we do the shot.”
